Cozumel is an island off of the Caribbean coast of Mexico. It is semi-tropical in nature and rich with interesting aspects of nature. On this trip, and as with all of our locations, we had a limited time to bird and therefore could not travel more than about 45 minutes from the ship. We had a local guide that ensured that we maximized what we were able to see. We were taken, primarily, through the southern half of the island, both along the coast and then across it to get back to the ship. These photos are generally in chronological order. Of course, not every bird species was photographed. Sometimes they were for too short a period of time. Sometimes the photos were unacceptable. On occasion, I didn’t spot what others saw, and visa-versa. Still, what a memory.

The best way to view the photos is FULL SCREEN. Click the first (or any) photo, and use the “previous” and “next” buttons to navigate your way to the end. The yellow menu (above) will take you to any of the trip’s pages, or to the start of the Travel Section, or to the Front Page.
